x-rays
looking beyond
Dental X-rays provide an important perspective to both preventative and restorative care and are necessary for assessing decay, gum disease and oral cancers.
The Harding Dental Center utilizes digital x-ray technology which means less radiation and greater comfort. This technology allows us to display pictures on a 42-inch screen where we can review potential problems with you by magnifying and labeling areas of concern and discussing treatment options. Digital x-rays also enable us to create electronic dental records that can be easily shared with consulting specialists and insurance companies.
We recommend completing:
We recommend completing:
- Bite Wing X-rays on each year for early cavity detection; and
- A Full Mouth Series every three to five years
head and neck CT scan
The Harding Dental Center utilizes an in-office CT Scan as a standard-of-care for complicated restorations. This technology gives us a 3D image of the head and neck that is critical in assessing treatment options and the correct placement of implants.
Not all dentists who offer implants can perform this procedure from start to finish. Rather they send their patients out for CT scans and oral surgery and bring them back to place the porcelain crown once the implant has stabilized. With Dr. Harding’s advanced training and a CT Scan in our offices, we can perform an entire implant procedure from start to finish.
